The Ascended Masters
The etheric plane is bustling with activity. In it are great cities of light and spiritual retreats. Retreats are a master’s home of light and serve many purposes. Typically they are located at inner levels (heaven-world) although a few extend into the physical. Many retreats are universities and temples of learning. Some of them are used to anchor certain energies to the earth through a massive crisscrossing grid of light, called the antahkarana,
which connects everything in creation to the heart of God. The Seven Archangels also have retreats.
Retreats are typically located over key areas of the earth. For example the Marian shrine at Fatima in Portugal has the healing retreat of Mother Mary and Archangel Raphael above it in the etheric. Other key locations include mountains, lakes, buildings and monuments like the Taj Mahal or Washington Monument. Many retreats were once in the physical but during times of great darkness the masters removed them to the etheric plane to protect the light from being misused. When we go to these areas we intuitively pick up the energy. This also explains why we feel such peace and awe whenever we visit these sacred places.
Some retreats are sealed in mountains. In his book "The Magic Presence" Godfre Ray King (pen name used by Guy W. Ballard), who today is known as the Ascended Master Godfre, described his experiences after visiting the Cave of Light, a retreat located in the Himalayas. There he received a very intense healing involving the aligning of his four lower bodies and the balancing of the sacred flame in the heart. He said the retreat was quite beautiful with crystalline substance covering the walls. According to Godfre, you have to be quite disciplined in following God’s Will to be invited to it.
Other retreats have magnificent crystals that are used to continuously release their healing energies to the earth. There are retreats used as focuses of the sacred fire that have altars dedicated to the flames of truth, illumination, healing and freedom. Kuan Yin’s retreat has a golden urn that focuses the flame of mercy to the earth. Mercy’s flame is a beautiful pink-violet in color.
